I'm a worship leader/song writer at heart. God uses a lot of different things in life to inspire me to write and sing. Ever since I can remember, I've had a song in my heart. As a kid, I used to place my ear against our old TV/Record Player and listen to the radio and LP's for hours. Then I would make up songs and sing them to my little brother!
Growing up in pretty conservative fundamental Baptist churches at times limited me in what was considered "acceptable" stylistically when it came to music. It wasn't until I was older that I came to experience freedom to expand my musical horizons!
Living here in beautiful South Carolina, I've been blessed with an awesome wife (Kim) and 3 amazing kids (Steve, Nicole, and Jessica). The theme of my Good Life is that I've been Given More Than I Deserve. Like the paralyzed man brought to Jesus by his friends, Jesus has given me way more than I thought I needed. I even wrote a song on this - you can play it over there on the right : )
Life doesn't always feel good, but it is. When life gets me down, God has ways of reminding me how good He is. The Good Life is not about "Health, Wealth, and Prosperity" teaching, but a way to look at life that turns our attention back to the One who loves nothing more than to be with us. So the reason Life is Good is because God is Good.
I don't expect that millions will read my thoughts here, but I do know that many of you do and so I say, "Thanks"! I love you all.
